Supporting the Jett Foundation

Your contribution will help find a cure for boys like Jett, and the thousands others, who suffer from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

Want to organize a fundraising event to support the Jett Foundation?

First, consider what kind of events do you personally enjoy?  What does your social circle, club, neighborhood or community usually enjoy? That’s a great place to start. Perhaps a regularly held event could be held for a special cause – The Jett Foundation!  Proceed as you normally do, but let folks know that there is a great cause they’ll be learning more about and support.  We’ll provide more information about The Jett Foundation for you to share.

Some Ideas for you:

• Ask a local restaurant or a chef you know to host a special tasting dinner

• Host a potluck dinner or bean supper

• Host a wine tasting or any other beverage tasting party

• Get the kids involved – hold a

• jump-a-thon

• skip-a-thon

• read-a-thon

• bowl-a-thon

• or any fun “a-thon” with the proceeds going to The Jett Foundation

• Save the planet and support Jett Foundation – host a can or bottle drive with the funds collected from redeeming the containers going to the cause.

• Pass the hat during fellowship or a coffee hour

• Ask a local business leader to match the gifts that you raise from an event or by passing the hat

• Host a house party with a fun theme

• Have a community bake sale

• Host a giant tag sale with the proceeds to be presented to The Jett Foundation

• Organize a fun run or walk

• Partner with a local ice cream place and have a giant make-your-own sundae party

• Organize a Road Rally/Scavenger Hunt

• Get running – participate in a marathon or half-marathon, raising funds for the Jett Foundation

• Get some great items together for the Jett Foundation online auction

• Be creative!  If you like the idea, chances are others will as well!

Another way to support the Jett Foundation is to sponsor one of our upcoming events:

6th Annual Jett Golf Classic -- October 1, 2008 -- Pinehills, Plymouth, MA
The Jett Golf Classic is an annual celebration of hope, friendship and great golf, all to support The Jett Foundation in its battle against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).  The 2006 Jett Golf Classic raised more than $135,000 for the fight against DMD. With your help, the 2008 Jett Golf Classic will continue this great success, and continue our fight to ensure that children suffering from this fatal disease have the opportunity to enjoy a full life. This is The Jett Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year and draws more than 400 golfers and dinner guests to the Pinehills’ two spectacular courses and clubhouse for a day of golf, food and fundraising. All proceeds from this event will accelerate treatments for DMD and fund research these boys desperately need and deserve.
