Connecticut Chiefs Play “Hockey4Jett” Charity Game for Duchenne

On March 6, 2022, The Connecticut Chiefs hosted the 2nd annual Hockey for Jett Charity Game to support the Duchenne community. The Chiefs are a Junior hockey organization based out of Newington, Connecticut who support the community and many student-athletes that aspire to continue with the game of hockey.

“The 2022 Jett Foundation charity game was a great success!” says Kristin Johnson, wife of Chiefs owner Brandon Johnson. “This annual fundraiser is very close to my heart. My nephew, Jordan, was diagnosed with Duchenne in 2017. I have attended a number of Jett Foundation events and know that this is such an important foundation to support our family.”

The Johnson family and the Chiefs raised over $5,000 for Jett Foundation in support of Duchenne families. Jett Foundation is incredibly grateful toward Kristin and Brandon Johnson, the Connecticut Chiefs organization, the extended Johnson family, everyone who donated raffle items, and those that attended the event for supporting our mission.

Jett Foundation is looking forward to continuing Hockey for Jett annually, as well as many other events that support Duchenne families.

Kristin says “I would like to extend a huge thank you to the sponsor of our game jerseys, Russell Lallier of All Waste Management, Bob Dalessio who is our equipment manager, Liam Garten who sang our National Anthem, Diana Johnson, Caitlin Hughes and Robin Shanmugam for helping me put this together, the CT Chiefs community, and all of our friends and family who donated raffle prizes and came out to cheer on our Connecticut Chiefs to an incredible win!”
