Jett Foundation is committed to meeting the unmet and unique needs of our Duchenne community. Over the past few years a common theme has cropped up time and time again within our community: mental health.
Over 50%* of Americans report feelings of mental health-related issues like stress, anxiety, and depression in their lifetime. This number rises to 90% for individuals and caregivers in the rare disease community. Finding mental health support can be challenging for anyone, let alone families and individuals navigating a rare disease.
Jett Foundation wants to help break down some of the barriers to starting conversations about mental health and finding support. To address this need, this year, Jett Foundation will be hosting a Mental Health Resource Fair on October 10, 2023. Stay tuned for more details, but we invite you to save the date for this virtual event.
