Julie LeClair Joins Jett Team as Community Program Coordinator

June 8, 2021

As our Jett Foundation team is expanding, join us in welcoming one of our newest members, Julie! Julie has taken on the role of Community Program Coordinator, developing strategies to meet the needs of those in our Duchenne community.

Julie studied at Saint Anselm College and received her bachelors in Forensic Science. She then went on to get her masters at Arkansas State University in College Student Personnel. While going to school, Julie played four years of softball and joined the Student Activities Club.

She initially became interested in community outreach and programs in high school. She volunteered at the food pantry on Saturday mornings. While in college, she also participated in Relay for Life and helped out at Community Resources for Justice.

Julie was eager to apply to Jett Foundation, after reading the impact stories from the community. “It brought tears to my eyes and I knew I wanted to be a part of this community,” she says. Three words she would use to describe Jett Foundation are: superheroes, caring, and team-oriented.

Her role as Community Program Coordinator entails working with community ambassadors and overseeing community programs such as our Jett Giving Fund and World Duchenne Awareness Day. She is most excited to be a part of this strong community and make a lasting impact on many families. “I can’t wait to see my hard work unfold and the results it can have on changing lives,” she says.

When Julie isn’t working she is spending time with her furry friend – her Cavapoo puppy, Duke! She loves learning about anything fitness and nutrition related. She even does Obstacle Fitness Training. In her free time, she also loves refinishing and building furniture. As the nicer weather is coming, Julie is looking forward to going camping; her favorite spot is Strawberry Park Campground!

Julie is excited to continue flourishing at Jett Foundation and making a lasting impact. She can’t wait to see the ideas she has now implemented in the future. We are excited to have her on our team!
