About Brayden’s Mighty Journey

Brayden is seven and was diagnosed at five-years-old with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. That day, his family’s world was completely changed. Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a progressive neuromuscular disorder that causes a loss of motor, pulmonary, and cardiac function, and premature death. Duchenne has no cure.

The Juarez Family decided that they could not just accept Duchenne without doing all they could for their child. They started learning everything they could about Duchenne. After thorough research, they discovered a whole army of parents and organizations that had been fighting, and for a long time. While Duchenne is still fatal and has no cure, the landscape is changing. With the work of parents, advocacy organizations, and pharmaceutical companies, there are many clinical trials available and there is hope for a cure.

Brayden’s Mighty Journey hosts impactful fundraisers, like this one, to contribute to the continued advancement of research, development of new treatments, and empowering programs for children like Brayden and families like theirs across the country.

Proceeds from this event benefit Jett Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit fighting Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
