Welcome our Intern… Ashley!

April 16, 2021

Drumroll please… we want to introduce you to our new Social Media Intern…. Ashley! We have reallyenjoyed getting to know her and working with her – read on to learn more about the newest member of the Camp Promise team!

Hey y’all, my name is Ashley! I’m a 20-year-old college student who’s going to school for a bachelor’s in psychology and a minor in sports medicine. My goal is to work for a major sports team as their personal team psychologist. Some of my hobbies include going to the San Diego Zoo, listening to all types of music (although Blackbear, MGK, and Halsey have my heart), doing makeup, and watching football. Yes, you read that right, makeup, and football, quite the mixture. I’m very much a people person, which means I’d rather be out doing things with friends than stay home.

Safe to say the year 2020 has been a crazy one for all of us, but with the crazy came some positives. Back in August, I had attended Camp Promise for the very first time after hearing about it from a friend. Now while it was virtual, the campers and staff were nothing short of kind, charismatic, and accepting. Overall, they gladly welcomed me into this giant, crazy, family, and I couldn’t be happier. However, this isn’t where the fun stops.

I’m pleased to announce that I’m now a social media intern for Camp Promise! This means that I have the privilege of sharing all of our fun memories captured on camera. As a camper, I know how hard it is to put into words how fun camp truly is, so I hope to at least be able to show the world our shenanigans through our pictures. I can’t wait to connect with you all a little more. Thank you for letting me join in on this wild ride!
