Every summer, the Falmouth Road Race brings together runners from across the globe to take on a beautiful, challenging course in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. For Jett Foundation, this year’s race was extra special. For our 6th year in Falmouth, we fielded our largest team ever, with 17 dedicated runners taking on the scenic seven-mile trek to support our mission and families impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
The day was filled with energy, emotion, and an incredible sense of community. Many of our runners have a personal connection to Duchenne, and their commitment was palpable. Seeing them cross the finish line was made all the more meaningful by the fact that many of their family members—who are directly impacted by Duchenne—were right there on the sidelines, cheering them on every step of the way. The cheers from the sidelines were a powerful reminder of why we run.
Team Jett truly gave it their all, and we were especially proud of board member Adrian Kielhorn, who blazed a trail and was our fastest runner of the day. Every single team member completed the race with heart and determination, embodying the spirit of the Duchenne community.
Gabriella Costa, Jett Foundation’s Director of Marketing and Communications, was on-site and shared her gratitude for the team’s efforts. “It’s truly inspiring to see so many people come together, not just to run, but to support our mission and families,” she said. “The atmosphere was incredible, and we’re so grateful to every single runner and supporter who made this our biggest team ever. Their dedication helps us continue our vital work.”
