From June 1-7, 2026, members of the Duchenne muscular dystrophy community, industry partners, event sponsors, family members, friends, and supporters across the country came together for Jett Foundation’s annual National Challenge 5K. United by a shared mission, participants walked, ran, rolled, and moved 3.1 miles in their own way to raise awareness and critical funds for families impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Held virtually and in communities nationwide, the National Challenge 5K is a show of strength in the fight against Duchenne, encouraging participants to activate their muscles on behalf of those living with a progressive muscle-wasting disease. Throughout the week, individuals and teams gathered at parks, neighborhoods, schools, offices, and local trails, proving that no matter where you live, you can make a difference for the Duchenne community.
This year’s event brought together an incredible network of supporters, including families impacted by Duchenne, dedicated advocates, Team Jett athletes, industry partners, and event sponsors. Participants shared photos, fundraising pages, and stories from across the country, creating a powerful reminder that the Duchenne community is stronger when it moves together.
Thanks to the dedication and generosity of everyone involved, the 2026 National Challenge 5K raised over $20,000 to support Jett Foundation’s programs, services, and resources for individuals and families impacted by Duchenne. These funds will help advance opportunities for connection, education, advocacy, and direct support throughout every stage of the Duchenne journey.
While participants logged miles in different ways, they were united by a common purpose: creating a brighter future for those living with Duchenne. Every step, roll, and movement represented hope, community, and a commitment to ensuring families have access to the resources they need.
The National Challenge 5K is part of Team Jett, Jett Foundation’s athletic fundraising program that empowers supporters to activate their muscles while raising awareness and funds for the Duchenne community. Through events like the National Challenge, participants help fuel transformative programs and services that make a meaningful impact on families across the country.
