Sarepta GT-FAQ update – and a search for community hosts!

May 5, 2021

Are you a member of the Duchenne or LGMD community who would like to be a GT-FAQ host? Sarepta is on the lookout, as they are planning GT-FAQ Season 2, an educational video series based on gene therapy. If you missed Season 1 on Sarepta’s social media channels, you can find all 10 archived episodes on Sarepta’s YouTube channel.

About the Talent Search – GT-FAQ External Host:

GT-FAQ was designed to be for the community. Sarepta is therefore seeking members of the Duchenne or LGMD communities who would like to be a GT-FAQ host. The host responsibility is to introduce themselves and ask the GT-FAQ question – no science background is required!

Who they are looking for:

  • A member of the Duchenne or LGMD community who enjoys any of the following: public speaking, broadcasting/podcasting, film, teaching, or science!
  • Curiosity! A science degree is not a requirement. A host would work with the Sarepta team to film themselves asking the question that will be answered in the GT-FAQ episode.
  • All ages welcome. If under 18yrs, a parent/guardian must be present and complete necessary paperwork
  • ~1hr time commitment in April/May (all virtual), including prep emails, a prep call, and a filming session
  • Access to an iPhone, preferably with WiFi (for virtual filming purposes)
  • US resident
