    About Maura Carroll

This Marvel movie fan is a mother to three girls and loves going on walks at the beach with her husband and dog!

Where are you from? Tell us about you!

I was born and raised in Havertown, PA, but have called Scituate, MA my home for the past 20 years. After graduating college, I volunteered with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps which rooted me in service and a desire to work and support non-profit organizations who are making an impact in the community.

What brings you to Jett Foundation?

I met Christine McSherry in 2009 through a mutual friend. I was immediately inspired by Christine and her determination to save her son, Jett, and create her own non-profit. I’m honored that I could support her vision to grow Jett Foundation into what it is today. Celebrating Jett Foundation’s 20th year was emotional and amazing to see how much impact Jett Foundation has had in the community since 2001.

Tell us some fun facts about you!

    • I recently started playing paddle tennis (cross between tennis, pickle ball, and racquet ball).”
    • I love that I can walk to the beach from my house and try to do it often!
    • My husband recently got a fishing boat – being on the water in the sun is my happy place!

What are you most excited about at Jett Foundation?

I’m most excited about Camp Promise. I’m so happy that we can invite campers to join us in person this summer – what a reunion it will be!

To connect with Maura, you can email her at maura@jettfoundation.org.

    Experience the magic this summer!

How is the rare disease community accomplishing goals?

Tune in on February 29 to hear from our panel and moderators on how they are accomplishing goals and living life to the fullest!

Your gift helps Jett Foundation provide programming and opportunities, such as Camp Promise, to many families impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy each year.
