Welcome to the Camp Team, Kaitlin!

May 15, 2019

Hey everyone, it’s me—Kaitlin! I am so excited to announce that I will be taking on a new position here at Camp Promise. This summer, I will be working alongside Meghan and Shannon to serve as your new Camp Assistant! This is a brand new position here at camp, and I couldn’t be more excited to take on this new role. My new job includes reaching out to vendors, developing camp schedules loaded with fun theme days and activities, and overall ensuring that you have an awesome time at camp this summer!

This year will be my third summer working at Camp Promise, and I am excited to make the most of it. In 2017, I served as a counselor at Camp Promise-East in the Orange Cabin. The next summer I had the opportunity to go to all three camps where I served as a Unit Leader Assistant in the first ever Red Cabin at East, the Green Cabin at Camp Promise-Rockies, and the Orange Cabin at Camp Promise-West. Having the chance to work alongside so many of you over the past two summers has given me a really unique perspective that I am able to bring to camp this summer as part of the new leadership team!

But before we dive into camp this summer, I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you a little about myself and my interests outside of camp!

I just recently graduated from Quinnipiac University where I received a degree in Health Science Studies and a degree in Psychology. I am super passionate about the connections between a person’s mental and physical health, which I hope to go to medical school and study even further.

When I am not studying, you can usually find me chasing sunsets, eating ice cream, or obsessing over my dog (usually it’s a combination of all three). I am always looking for something new and exciting to experience—whether it be trying new foods, finding new places to explore, or learning a new skill—so don’t be alarmed when I ask you about your favorite things to do when I see you at camp!

I understand how having a new leadership team this year can be daunting for some of you, but I assure you that you are still in incredible hands. It is my mission to continue to embrace and promote the well-established culture we have here at Camp Promise, and I am here to support our campers and volunteers, like you, in any way that I can! If you have any questions (or just want to say Hi!), don’t hesitate to reach out! You can catch me at kaitlin@jettfoundation.org I am so excited for camp this summer, and I hope you are too! It will definitely be one for the books, and I can’t wait to see you there!

Experience the magic this summer!
