Camper Application Process

The goal of our application process is to get to know the personality and needs of our campers. This helps us match campers 1:1 with a counselor who will be a good fit, and also helps ensure that our medical staff and team are ready for campers to make a smooth transition to camp.

  • Virtual Weekend (13+): May 15-17 via Zoom
  • West (13+): June 7-11 in Mount Vernon, WA (volunteers June 6)
  • Ohio (18+): June 29-July 2 in Akron, OH (volunteers June 28)
  • Rockies (13+): July 19-23 in Empire, CO (volunteers July 18)
  • Arizona (18+): July 23-26 in Payson, AZ (volunteers July 22)
  • Southeast (13+): August 6-9 in Marietta, SC (volunteers August 6)
  • East (13+): August 9-13 in Brackney, PA (volunteers August 8)
  • SoCal (18+): October 1-4 in Crestline, CA (volunteers September 30)

Step 1: Online Application

All applicants, including returning campers, must complete an online application. As part of this online application, you will be asked to upload the following:

  • Current photo
  • Government-issued photo ID (for campers 18+)
  • Copy of your insurance card(s) (front & back)

Step 2: Medical Documents

For the health and safety of all of our campers, each camper must complete a medical exam and have their doctor complete the Camp Promise Medical Form. As part of your online application, you will be asked to upload the following:

Medical documents must be filled out and submitted no later than 10 week prior to the start of your camp.

Step 3: Interview

Returning camper interviews are optional, but Jett Foundation reserves the right to interview any applicant as deemed necessary to provide the best care at Camp Promise. Any camper is also welcome to schedule an interview with Camp Promise Leadership as part of the application process.

Step 4: Camp Welcome Packet

Accepted campers will receive a Welcome Packet via email that includes a camper handbook, list of theme days, packing list, and directions to camp.
