Camp Promise – East 2025: Magic, Friendship, and Adventure in Brackney, PA

September 4, 2025

The beautiful Arrowhead Bible Camp in Brackney, Pennsylvania, welcomed 31 campers and 34 counselors from August 10-14 for one of the most magical weeks ever at Camp Promise – East. Over five unforgettable days, campers experienced a mix of creativity, adventure, and community that truly embodies the spirit of Jett Foundation’s Camp Promise.

The week kicked off on Sunday with Cabin Color Day and camper check-ins, as everyone settled into their new home-away-from-home. Activities like arts & crafts, nametag and mailbox decorating, and a scavenger tour helped campers feel at home and ready for the fun ahead. The evening ended with the exciting CP Top Chef competition, where campers showed off their culinary skills and creativity.

Monday brought the thrill of Space Invaders-themed fun, including tie-dye workshops, archery, strawberry DNA experiments, and hayrides. The evening ended with a lively Casino Night, followed by a cozy campfire to share stories and laughter.

Tuesday was Summerween, featuring haunted Dungeons & Dragons, a reptile encounter, Power Soccer matches, and a tailgate party that got everyone moving and smiling. Karaoke at the Mocktail Bar capped off the night with energy and camaraderie.

On Wednesday, Camp T-Shirt Day offered a mix of hands-on learning and fun, from robotic arm demonstrations to boating, swimming, and archery. The Safari Dance in the evening brought the entire camp together for one final celebration before the week wrapped up.

Finally, Thursday focused on farewells and reflection, with campers packing up, cleaning, and saying goodbye to new friends, knowing the memories and friendships formed would last long after the week ended.

Maura Carroll, Jett Foundation’s Director of Development, attended the camp and shared:“Camp Promise – East is a place where campers truly get to shine. Watching their confidence grow each day while having fun and forming deep friendships is incredibly inspiring. It’s a joy to witness the magic that happens when campers and counselors come together as a family. I am already counting down the days until we’re back in Pennsylvania next year!”

From arts and crafts to archery, hayrides to karaoke, Camp Promise – East 2025 was a week filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to welcome this amazing group back next year to continue the magic, which wouldn’t be possible without the following generous sponsors: Cure Dale’s Duchenne, The Flatley Foundation, Sarepta Therapeutics, NS Pharma, Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, Edgewise Therapeutics, Entrada Therapeutics, ITF Therapeutics, The Killian Family, Transamerica, Prisma Health, REGENXBIO, Ultragenyx, and Yale Appliance.
