Jett Foundation brought the magic of Camp Promise – Rockies to life once again in the breathtaking setting of Rocky Mountain Village in Empire, Colorado from July 20–24. With 22 campers and 27 volunteers, this year’s camp was filled with vibrant theme days, exciting activities, and the kind of connections that last a lifetime.
Each morning, we woke up to crisp mountain air and stunning views – a perfect backdrop for a week of unforgettable fun. And while afternoon storms rolled in like clockwork, not even the rain could dampen the Camp Promise spirit. From the moment campers checked in on Cabin Color Day through the final goodbyes, the energy was high and the laughter never stopped.

Throughout the week, campers embraced a series of imaginative theme days:
Space Invaders Monday kicked off with tie dye, archery, and an out-of-this-world trivia game.
Summerween Tuesday brought spooky fun, including mask-making, horror trivia, and a haunted Kangaroo Court.
On Camp T-Shirt Day Wednesday, everyone rocked their official tees for all-camp photos, enjoyed the climbing tower, took on accessible biking, and danced the night away at our Safari Dance.
We wrapped up on Thursday with heartfelt farewells, staff debriefs, and plenty of hugs.
Campers also enjoyed classic camp activities like swimming, fishing, arts & crafts, card games, and talent shows. Highlights included Pizza Party Dinner, Karaoke Mocktail Night, and nightly campfires under the stars (or in a cozy lodge when the storms came through).
Jett Foundation’s Eric Snyder took his President & CEO hat off and traded it for “Camp Counselor” for the week. He shares: “The spirit, resilience, and joy of our campers and volunteers is nothing short of inspiring. Despite the storms, the magic never stops in these mountains, and I’m lucky to have been a witness to that four years in a row.”

Jett’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Zac Bentley, also experienced Camp Promise – Rockies for the fourth year: “There’s something truly special about Camp Promise – Rockies. Every year, I leave feeling more connected and more grateful for our community. From the stunning views to the incredible people, this camp continues to be a highlight of our summer.”
As always, our incredible team of volunteers and medical staff made camp safe, fun, and welcoming for everyone. Their dedication and love are the heart of Camp Promise, and we couldn’t do it without them.
And speaking of people we couldn’t host the magic without, here is a list of generous sponsors who are committed to supporting these unforgettable experiences: Cure Dale’s Duchenne, The Flatley Foundation, Sarepta Therapeutics, NS Pharma, Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, Edgewise Therapeutics, Entrada Therapeutics, ITF Therapeutics, The Killian Family, Transamerica, Prisma Health, REGENXBIO, Ultragenyx, and Yale Appliance.
Camp Promise – Rockies is more than just a week away: it’s a place where independence is encouraged, friendships are deepened, and memories are made. We’re already counting down the days until we’re back in the mountains again next summer!
