Over Memorial Day Weekend, over 100 campers and volunteers from across the country came together online for Camp Promise Virtual Weekend 2025, held May 23-25. Hosted by Jett Foundation, this beloved event brought the magic of camp to screens everywhere, proving once again that the Camp Promise community can connect, create, and have fun – no matter the distance!
A Full Weekend of Fun
Each day of Virtual Weekend followed a fun theme and featured exciting activities, games, and time to hang out with friends, both old and new. Some campers signed up for activity boxes and utilized them to get in on arts & crafts, rock Camp Promise spirit, and carry keepsakes from one activity to the next. Instructions were also provided to individuals who didn’t receive a box on how to dive into the magic.
Friday (Summerween Day) kicked off the weekend with a spooky twist! After introductions and kickoff activities, campers tested their knowledge during Haunted Trivia Hour, got creative in the GameU Game Design session, and dove into the mystery of Clue: Murder Mystery. The day wrapped up with the hilarious Box of Lies Game during a Late Night 18+ session.
Saturday (Camp T-Shirt Day) brought all the crafty vibes. Campers tried their hand at Candle Making and Tie Dye (hosted by Alex and Ezra from Washington), and let their competitive sides shine in Nostalgic Jeopardy. GameU hosted a Digital Art session, and the night was capped off with Overjoyed + Gaming (hosted by Anthony Devergillo) and The Late Night 18+.

Sunday (Chef It Up Day) featured culinary creativity with Cooking with Chef Wong, followed by the always-popular Foodie Feud. Campers continued to explore new skills in a GameU Animation session and ended the weekend with Singing Bee and a round of laughs in the True Confessions Game.
Keeping the Spirit of Camp Alive
Camp Promise Virtual Weekend is part of our Camp Promise Connect programming, a year-round series of virtual events designed to keep campers connected beyond the summer. These events provide accessible opportunities to socialize, try new things, and share the unique bond of the Camp Promise community from home.
Campers of all ages – including teens and adults living with neuromuscular disorders – are welcomed with open arms. Camp Promise helps Jett Foundation meet its mission by providing barrier-free, overnight and virtual camp opportunities for kids, teens, and adults with muscular dystrophy or select neuromuscular diseases – regardless of capability or ability to pay.
