Community Webinar: Healthy and Balanced Nutrition Choices
December 4, 2025 | 1pm ET | Zoom Webinar

Marla has been a registered dietitian nutritionist for about seven years. She completed her bachelor’s degree in nutritional science from the University of Connecticut and a dietetics internship at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. This past year she also became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She has experience as a dietitian in both adult and the pediatric patients world, with different conditions ranging from cardiovascular disease, weight management, eating disorders, diabetes, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy just to name a few. She has been a part of the DMD clinic at UMass for a little over two years now and loves being able to make a difference in the community. She finds it important to remind folks balance is more than “eat your fruits and vegetables.” It’s an ice cream social with loved ones combined with protein, fiber, and heart healthy fats most days. In her free time, she enjoys riding her horse, going camping, and spending time with family, friends and her church community.
