Helping Carson Stay Connected to His World
Carson Webb was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the age of four. Now 10 years old, Carson has recently transitioned to relying on his power wheelchair for all mobility. Duchenne is a progressive neuromuscular disorder causing a lack of motor, pulmonary, and cardiac function. What was expected over time has instead happened quickly, leaving his family struggling to keep up with the changes that Duchenne brings.

Carson is in school during the day and loves being around others, but transportation has become one of the family’s greatest challenges. His mom, Ashley, is unable to lift or transfer him safely, which means she cannot bring Carson to school, medical appointments, or activities on her own. This creates long separations and limits precious family time together.
Carson loves going to the zoo, exploring new places, and simply being out in the world, but those experiences have come to a halt. Because the family cannot transport Carson’s wheelchair safely, outings that once brought joy are no longer possible. Even everyday family moments, like game nights at a relative’s home, now require complicated coordination or are avoided altogether.
Carson is fully dependent on his family for daily care—everything from dressing to bathroom needs—and Ashley carries much of that responsibility. The emotional weight of feeling stuck, isolated, and unable to provide basic access for her son has been overwhelming.
An accessible vehicle would change everything.
With a wheelchair-accessible van, Carson could travel safely and comfortably in his power wheelchair. Ashley would be able to bring him to school, appointments, and activities without fear of injury. The family could spend more time together, reclaim lost experiences, and begin rebuilding a sense of normalcy after months of hardship.
Through Jett Foundation’s Accessible Vehicle Fund, the Webb family is working to fundraise half or more of the cost of an accessible vehicle. Once that goal is reached, Jett Foundation will help cover the remaining cost and coordinate the purchase and delivery of a vehicle that supports Carson’s needs now and into the future.
Your support helps Carson get back to being a kid: exploring, learning, and spending time with the people who love him most.

All donations to Jett Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed under applicable law and is an unrestricted contribution to the Jett Giving Fund. The family is working to raise half the funds needed for their van or more; when they reach their goal, Jett Foundation will cover the remaining costs and coordinate purchase and delivery of the vehicle.
