On February 28, 2026, the Cammarata family gathered with friends, supporters, and community members to celebrate a life-changing milestone: the arrival of their new, fully accessible van through Jett Foundation’s Accessible Vehicle Fund program.
For Brandi Page and her family, this moment was years in the making.
Beck was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy when he was just five years old. Now, nearly 16, Beck is a determined high school student with big goals and an even bigger heart. He attends Apalachee High School and has a deep passion for Power Soccer, a competitive sport designed for athletes who use power wheelchairs.
As Duchenne progresses, mobility, pulmonary, and cardiac needs increase. What once may have been manageable with creativity and flexibility becomes physically demanding, stressful, and at times unsafe. For the Cammarata family, which includes Beck’s older and younger siblings, transportation had become one of their greatest challenges.
They had reached a point where a reliable, fully accessible van was no longer a luxury. It was essential.

“Our current transportation situation has been stressful, unsafe at times, physically demanding, and honestly, we could not afford an accessible van to fit his needs on our own,” Brandi shared. “Asking for help can seem embarrassing, but we really needed the help.”
Through the Accessible Vehicle Fund, a branch of the Jett Giving Fund, the Cammarata family committed to sharing their story and fundraising alongside Jett Foundation to reach their goal. What followed was a testament to perseverance and community.
“There were days I thought we would never reach our goal,” Brandi said. “It was all exciting once you’re accepted, and then you see the numbers — and it can seem scary or overwhelming.”
But they kept going. They shared their story nonstop. They went door to door, business to business. They showed up daily on social media. And little by little, their community showed up for them.
“Even when the numbers look impossible, you will see them climb,” Brandi said. “The moment you reach your goal is truly life changing. It is worth every bit of the effort.”
When asked what the new van means for their family, Brandi didn’t hesitate: “Freedom. Freedom to safely travel wherever we can safely.”
No more loading and unloading heavy equipment into the back of a truck. No more worrying about weather damaging Beck’s power wheelchair. No more costly rental vehicles. No more traveling separately.
Now, the entire family can ride together.
Perhaps even more importantly, this van lifts an emotional weight from Beck’s shoulders. Brandi shared that Beck often felt stress about the financial strain and safety concerns surrounding transportation.
“He goes through enough and shouldn’t feel like a burden ever to our family,” she said.
With their new van, Beck can focus on being a teenager, pursuing his passion for Power Soccer, attending school events, traveling to appointments safely, and even looking ahead to his goal of driving someday.

The Cammaratas also carry with them the memory of Beck’s best friend, AJ, one of the many incredible Duchenne warriors whose lives continue to inspire this community. Their courage fuels the fight for access, inclusion, and dignity for every family navigating Duchenne.
“If I could share anything, it’s this: YOU ARE NOT ALONE,” Brandi said. “Lean on each other, celebrate every win, don’t be afraid to ask for help. The Duchenne community is a family. We lift each other, cry together, and hold onto hope even on the hardest days.”
Delivery day on February 28th was a tribute to resilience, advocacy, generosity, and love. It was proof of what happens when a family bravely shares their needs.
“Jett Foundation’s support doesn’t just help families. They give us dignity, connection, and hope.”
Congratulations to the Cammarata family on this incredible milestone. We cannot wait to see where the road ahead takes you!
