On August 2, 2025, laughter, hugs, and happy tears filled the air at the Flowers family home in Waycross, Georgia. Surrounded by friends and family, the Flowers family celebrated a moment they had been dreaming of for years: the delivery of their very own accessible vehicle, made possible through Jett Foundation’s Accessible Vehicle Fund branch of the Jett Giving Fund.
For Kali Flowers, single mom to Lee, the journey to this day was not an easy one. Each trip outside the house meant physically lifting Lee in and out of the family car, a process that was physically exhausting and emotionally draining.
“We have been struggling for the past couple of years to get Lee out of the house,” Kali shared. “Having to physically lift him in and out of the vehicle was taking a toll on both of our backs and always taking the joy out of him being able to leave home. I was not financially ready to purchase an accessible vehicle alone. We are so thankful to have found Jett Foundation!”
Now, with the arrival of their new van, the Flowers family can finally look forward to more freedom, less worry, and many new adventures.

Lee, who loves taking vacations, will now be able to bring along his power chair, giving him the ability to move around with ease and independence wherever their travels take them.
“We are most looking forward to being able to take family trips,” Kali said with a smile. “Lee loves to take vacations but now being able to take his power chair and have the freedom to move around as he pleases will make them so much more enjoyable for him.”
The difference this van will make in their day-to-day life is just as powerful. From doctor’s appointments to simple errands, outings that once carried stress and risk can now be moments of connection and joy.
For other families still on the path to receiving their equipment, Kali offers words of encouragement: “Keep at it, even when donations seem to slow down. Keep at it and try different approaches, you never know what fundraiser will push you to your goal!”
And as they celebrated this milestone, the Flowers family reflected on the strength of the community that supported them along the way: “We are just so thankful to have a community of people that rally for one another. We are blessed to be a part of it.”
Jett Foundation is honored to stand alongside the Flowers family in this new chapter and cannot wait to see where the road takes them next.
