Jett Foundation Announces Eric Snyder’s Elevation to President and CEO

May 21, 2025

Jett Foundation, a national nonprofit dedicated to fighting Duchenne muscular dystrophy while empowering those impacted, announced the appointment of Eric Snyder as President and CEO. This transition recognizes Mr. Snyder’s exceptional leadership and significant contributions to the organization over the past five years as Executive Director.

During his tenure, Mr. Snyder has been instrumental in building a strong financial infrastructure for Jett Foundation, nearly tripling the organization’s operational budget. His strategic vision and dedicated efforts have resulted in the cultivation of numerous million-dollar gifts, from both longstanding supporters and new partners, significantly bolstering the organization’s capacity to serve the Duchenne community. Additionally, Mr. Snyder proactively worked to establish an endowment, which benefited from a generous seed donation in 2022 and has since experienced impressive growth, doubling in size.

“The Board is delighted to announce Eric’s appointment as President and CEO,” said Al Jackson, Board Chair of Jett Foundation. “Over the past five years, he has demonstrated exceptional vision and unwavering commitment to the Duchenne community. We have full confidence in his ability to lead Jett Foundation into an even brighter future, building on the strong foundation he has helped to establish.”

Mr. Snyder has spearheaded critical staffing and infrastructure improvements, strengthening the organization’s operational efficiency and effectiveness. This period has also seen substantial growth in key programs, including the expansion of Camp Promise from three to seven nationwide locations, providing life-changing experiences for individuals with neuromuscular disorders. The Jett Giving Fund, another pillar program, delivered 79 accessible vehicles to families in the community, and expanded to include two new branches of financial support: the Equipment Fund and the Emergency Fund.

“Eric’s dedication and leadership have been transformative for Jett Foundation,” said Christine McSherry, Jett Foundation Founder and Executive Board Director. “His commitment to our mission and strategic insight have positioned the organization for continued success and impact. We are confident that under his leadership as President and CEO, Jett Foundation will reach new heights.”

Mr. Snyder expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for his new role, stating, “I am honored to lead Jett Foundation as we expand our reach and impact with unique, critical services in new and meaningful ways. We have built a remarkable team and a solid foundation over the past 24 years, and I am excited to continue working alongside our dedicated supporters to make a difference in the lives of those affected by Duchenne.”

Looking ahead, Jett Foundation is charting a course for future growth, with Mr. Snyder at the helm, to ensure the organization’s mission continues to resonate and expand.
