Meet the Musicians

Sofie Lopes

Sofie Lopes is a 21-year-old musician who grew up in New Bedford, MA where she began her musical journey. She has taught herself multiple instruments and musical genres and has performed with many bands and acoustic duos. She is currently involved in musical groups within and outside of her school scene. She is now at Bridgewater State University with a major of Music Education and a concentration in Classical Voice. She will be graduating in the Spring of 2025 and plans on becoming an elementary general music teacher.

Taylor Deas

Taylor Deas is a 23-year-old musician who grew up in Brockton, MA where he began his musical journey. He began on electric guitar and switched to classical when he began his college career. He is a recent graduate of Bridgewater State University with a major of Music Performance and a concentration in Classical Guitar. He was involved in many on campus music ensembles while at BSU including the pit band for one of the Theater Department’s shows: Spamalot. He also performed two solo recitals during his time at BSU. He plans on attending New England Conservatory in the Fall of 2025 to pursue his Masters Degree in Performance.​
