On April 5 at 1pm ET, Jett Foundation welcomes Jill Anne Castle, M.Ed., for a Community Webinar on the myths around Individual Education Plans and 504 plans.
Myths Around IEPs and 504 Plans
Wednesday, April 5, 2023
1pm ET | 12pm CT | 11am MT | 10am PT
Jill Anne Castle has an abundance of experience in Education and Healthcare Advocacy, IDEA ’04 and Special Education Processes, 504 and Civil Rights, Transition to Adulthood, Assistive Technology, and much more related to special education, accessible education, and plans and details that are required for students in schools.
Jill is an Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University within the Mary Lou Fulton Teacher’s College. Her teachings have emphasis on Special Education, Inclusion, Collaboration, Mediation, Behavior, and Assistive Technology. Jill has previously held roles as Special Education Director at MGRM Pinnacle Charters and as Director of her own consulting company that held social skills camps for at-risk and special needs youth, advocated for special education IEPs, offered mediation services, and more.
Our Community Webinar Series is focused on ensuring that our Duchenne community is better prepared for those unexpected moments, challenging medical decisions, and difficult stages when on a Duchenne journey.
No one ever expects Duchenne and there is no correct way to tackle a diagnosis, but we can always better prepare. This webinar series is an opportunity to equip yourself with more knowledge, resources, and tools for those real-life, often unanticipated, scenarios.
