Join Jett Foundation’s Community Webinar Series on July 13 at 1PM EST as we welcome Eric Jorgensen, founder of Special Needs Navigator, for a presentation and discussion on how to navigate special needs trusts.
In this presentation, Disability Navigator Eric Jorgensen will provide an overview of what to do when your child has a disability – from receiving a diagnosis up to and beyond the child leaving high school. You will receive a glossary of terms commonly used by experts like attorneys and financial advisors. Eric will review how everything works together using easy-to-follow diagrams and will leave time to answer your questions.

ABC’s of Disability Planning
Eric Jorgensen is the Founder of True North Disability Planning, a national consulting company helping families, individuals and professionals navigate the maze of disability benefits, resources, and services. He has been helping his clients find answers since his retirement from the Navy in 2012. He was widowed the same year he retired. At the time, his 12-year-old autistic son, William, was completely dependent on his wife for everything. His frustration with the difficulty of figuring out what to do and navigating services for his son led him to start Special Needs Navigator.
Eric created a new category, Disability Planning. He specializes in helping clients identify what they do not know and providing clarity by connecting the dots. He works with people and companies around the country, developing individualized solutions best suited to their circumstances.
In addition to working with clients one on one, Special Needs Navigator has a blog, YouTube channel, podcast, and online marketplace. Eric uses the blog as a way to share his thoughts as a parent and a professional. The podcast and YouTube channel focus on benefits, resources, and services people may not know of or want to learn more about, or Eric thinks he can give additional perspective. His online marketplace is used by professionals and families, providing tools like calculators for SSI & SNAP, checklists, and many other resources he developed to help his clients over the years.
Our Community Webinar Series is focused on ensuring that our Duchenne community is better prepared for those unexpected moments, challenging medical decisions, and difficult stages when on a Duchenne journey.
No one ever expects Duchenne and there is no correct way to tackle a diagnosis, but we can always better prepare. This webinar series is an opportunity to equip yourself with more knowledge, resources, and tools for those real-life, often unanticipated, scenarios.
Tune in on February 29 to hear from our panel and moderators on how they are accomplishing goals and living life to the fullest!
