To kick off Day 7, the JettRiders’ host, Deacon Jonathan, took them on a nice ride highlighted by a cool trail to view an eagle’s nest.
After a detour, around a closed bridge, the riders met up with four families impacted by Duchenne at Heinz Field for a tour of the Steeler’s stadium and their guide showed them the locker room . It was fun for all… despite most of these New England-based riders being fans for another famous football team.
After their tour, they parted ways with the families and finished their cycling to their host church in downtown Pittsburg. The “church ladies” prepared a yummy dinner of chicken cordon bleu, cheesy potatoes, and vegetables. They dined in a beautiful room under a Tiffany stained glass window.
It was a full, fun day!
